Lucknow — the city of tehzeeb, poetry, and the world's most refined culinary tradition. Awadhi cuisine, perfected over centuries by the Nawabs of Oudh, is genuinely one of the most sophisticated cooking traditions in the world.
It is also, when eaten daily and in abundance, a perfect recipe for weight gain, diabetes, and fatty liver.
